In early 2014 iGene were contacted by the British Transport Police (BTP) to help in the investigation of a suicide. Extensive enquiries by BTP officers to find the identification of the man, who was hit by a train, had drawn a blank. iGene scanned the body and created a 3D digital reconstruction of the mans face. The scans were then sent to experts of Forensic Anthropology at Dundee University who used them to create a full facial reconstruction, which is now being used in an appeal to find the identity of the man and his relatives.
