DAUK win contract to provide service to Manchester City

We are delighted to announce that our tender for the provision of a service to HM Coroner for Manchester City was successful and our service will start on 1 October 2025. The service will be radiology led and will mean that we will be serving two of the largest jurisdictions in Manchester.

Having been to more Post Mortems than I can remember, the Digital Autopsy process appears to be a great way forward in reducing, time, money, personal grief, the distress caused due to religious beliefs and overall historical ways of dealing with deceased persons. My only concern would be in relation to deaths that do not appear suspicious, but turn out to be. In my career as a Homicide SIO I was called to several non suspicious cause of death post mortems that turned out to be suspicious, several actual being later recorded as murder.
